File a claim when:

• When you hit another car.
• Anyone is injured and your vehicle is involved.
• When the fault isn’t so clear.
• You hit a fixed object, your car is vandalized or damaged without you knowing who did it, or your car sustains weather-related damage and the cost or repairs of your vehicle or your medical expenses are greater than you can afford or want to pay.

You may choose not to file a claim when:

• It was a one-car accident and you did not damage anybody else’s property.
• You can afford to pay the costs of damage to your vehicle- or the costs of the repair are close to the amount of your deductible.
